Chipping

We allow you to leave chippable material in a bay at some times of year.  This is a new service as of 2024.  It is closed in the spring because our chipping volunteers are too busy then and might be closed at other times too.  If it's closed, you have to keep the material on your plot until we say it's OK to leave it again.

Materials left for chipping must be no more than 55 mm/2.2 in in diameter and cut into lengths that have been trimmed to be straight enough to feed through the chute.  We'd like it to look like this admirable pile from another allotment site.
